6 Tips for Planning a Stress-Free Super Bowl Party

Are you planning a Super Bowl Party this year? No matter, if you are rooting for the defending Super Bowl Champions, Seattle Seahawks, or the 3X Super Bowl Champions New England Patriots, these tips will help you with planning your party.

1. Purchase paper or plastic plates, cups, and silverware.

Do you really want the headache of washing dishes or loading the dishwasher? I don’t think so. Also, I’m sure you don’t want the accidental breaking of your fine china or glassware when the referees make calls that may excite or upset your guests beyond sensibility.

2. Stock up on ice.

Ice is one item you can’t have enough of. You want to start chilling your beverages at least 3 hours prior to the start of your party. Some people like to drink their beverages out of cups; thus, the need for extra ice. If an option is mixed drinks, you will need ice to rev up the blender.

3. Beverages.

If you plan on having a large crowd, you need to have soft drinks or other non-alcoholic beverages for the non drinkers. Bottled water is just about a must have, and it is clearly a healthy option.

4. Food.

Make sure you have plenty of food. People are going to be eating prior to the game, during the game, and after the game. (That is if your team won). Some good ideas for food are: chips, Rotel Dip, wings, meatballs and of course pizza. Always consider people that are health conscious. Some ideas for them are vegetable trays, crackers, spinach-artichoke dip, turkey burgers, grilled chicken tenders and paninis.

5. Seating.

One of the most important items to have is adequate seating. If you don’t have enough seating, you have a couple of options. You can go to your local retailer and purchase a few or you can always ask some of your friends to bring folding chairs.

6. Transportation.

The most important component that you need to consider when planning a party is how your friends are going to get home safely. Did you know, Super Bowl Sunday continually ranks as one of the most dangerous times of the year for drunk driving deaths? According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 43 percent of all traffic fatalities on Super Bowl Sunday (and the early hours of the following morning) in 2012 were caused by drunk driving, compared to an average of 31 percent for the year as a whole. You do have some options here. You can hire a Nashville Car Service to provide transportation home for your friends, or recommend a Nashville Car Service to them. A DUI will cost thousands and much more.
